There is still only one lane open in either direction for drivers, but they are now on opposite sides of the median. These roads must have been more like primitive trails at this early date. The map doesn’t show any Indian trails. The work is necessary to remove trees, branches and other debris which have built up against the central pillar of Low Bridge. The obstructions are a potential cause of flood risk. Gates at the Hialeah picnic area on the southern end of River Road within the park and at headquarters near the intersection of Hidden Lake Road and River Road to the north will be closed and locked. Leave the routes up and running regularly. Perhaps pay people to go door-to-door on a slow line and explain the schedule/system to them. In the winter, expect anything from mild temperatures to blizzard conditions. Always remember that conditions change quickly in mountainous areas and snow is possible year round. Always prepare for harsh conditions. Each of the shanties are designed by artists and have a different theme to them. The leather used in the Vise is thick so it will require a little break in, especially at the elbows and around the neck. It should become nice and flexible after a few rides though.
